Extracts from the above:

Come to the Community College at 9.30am on Thursday 3rd August to join a show of community strength as the board arrive to decide on the closure.

16 inpatient beds have been 'temporarily' closed since October 2021.

The hospitacl serves many communities in SW Shropshire and into Powys, far behond the town of Bishop's Castle - an area estimated to be 500sq miles.

These beds are valuable for post-op recovery, respite, and end-of-life care.

They take pressure off the major hospitals by freeing up beds for urgent and acute cases.

Without our hospital, we have to travel enormous distances to visit our loved ones, creating stress, expense, and lost time for all involved - as well as increased carbon footprints.
